The 409 College Avenue project proposed by Student Agencies Properties located in the Collegetown district introduced a newly constructed mixed-use commercial retail and residential building with an adjacent plaza open space. This project involved creating a community-focused hub of activity in Collegetown while providing a high- quality commercial, residential, and public open space. The site design uses locally sourced limestone blocks as seat walls and curvilinear custom wooden benches that respond to changes in grade as well as fluid forms found in the nearby Cascadilla Gorge. This site is a cornerstone site of Collegetown life and starts a new chapter of 409 College Avenue.
